October 5th & 6th, 2009 Union Meeting

Below are the minutes for the two-shift Union Meeting held on October 5 & 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Chad Vanis was disqualified from claiming this meeting's door prize! You must have be present at one of the meetings to win the accumulated $250 door prize.

1. Discuss and possibly take action on a monitory stipend for Norman Fire Chaplin Gary Doty.
   Motion to present Norman Fire Department Chaplain Gary Doty a $600 Stipend.

2. Discuss and possibly take action on continuing individual mailing of the union meeting agenda.
   Motion to address mail out issues on next agenda mail out.

3. Discuss and possibly take action on the OSFA termination of Norman members from committees.

4. Update on Labor Seminar by Nick Terhune.

5. Discuss and possibly take action on a donation from PAC funds to IAFF Fire PAC.
   Motion to allow individual members to decide if 50 cents per pay period from our local’s current PAC Fund deductions be sent to IAFF Fire PAC Fund.

   Motion to confirm Executive Board decision of cut off date of January 1, 2010.

   • Study clarification of contract language on cut off dates.
   • Consider setting maximum amount for door prize- then keep drawing until someone wins.

"Chad Vanis" was the name drawn for the $250 door prize. Chad failed to attend either meeting, therefore was not eligible to claim the door prize. The next union meeting door prize will be $275.
